The Paris street art : the frescoes of the 13th in French

This walk on Street Art in the 13th arrondissement will give you the chance to discover a neighbourhood undergoing a full transformation, thanks to its monumental frescos created by worldwide renowned artists.

Street Art, or Urban Art, is an artistic movement born in the 1960s that brings together all forms of art created in public places. Ephemeral art, sometimes committed, sees the artists who uphold it use diverse techniques such as stencils, graffiti or even billposting. It can be seen in certain capital cities such as Berlin, and it has been gradually developing over the years in Paris, supported by public authorities.

During the last few months, commuters on the metro will have been able to see several frescos flourish along line 6. These creations have been carried out by groups or artists who are internationally well-known. This all comes from a willingness of the public authorities and the 13th arrondissement's mayor who wants to promote Street Art along the buildings in this area. Our urban guys invite you to discover these frescos during a walk from The Place d'Italie to the banks of the River Seine. Keep your eyes on the sky.
